Hi! I'm so glad you found me,
I'm Adriana Olarte, let me tell you a bit more of how I got here:
i was born in the vibrant landscapes of Colombia. Growing up, my deep passion for wild places and beautiful landscapes provided a sanctuary during my formative years, offering a sense of peace amidst the bustling city life.
After finishing my psychology degree, I embarked on a quest to bridge the connection between psychological well-being and the presence of nature.
my purpose tuerned into transforming human dwellings into more sustainable and healthy ones, because I knew about the wide range of benefits that being surrounded by nature could bring to us.
This journey became a lifelong, ongoing research, delving into sustainable alternatives for modern living, psychology, ecology, permaculture and true connection with nature.
Venturing through Latin America, I immersed myself in diverse experiences like living among Indigenous tribes like the Quimbayas and the Huitotos. Visiting or cohabitating in several eco-villages in Colombia (Ecoshezuá, Anthakarana, Varsana, Montechico, ) Observing and Learning from traditional farmers and rural people in recondite locations.
These encounters deepened my understanding of sustainable practices, natural ways of living and their impact on both individuals and communities. Living in various rural settings further enriched my perspective, unveiling the nuances of sustaining life in harmony with nature.
In addition, my journey of openness and learning from indigenous tribes in my country has provided me with insights that extend beyond the physical benefits and practices of living in nature.
Immersing myself in the wisdom of ancestral plant medicines and traditional ceremonies has offered a profound understanding of our connection to the Earth and the wisdom of the ancient ways.
It has become clear to me, as a human being on this planet, that living close to nature and revering her is not only imperative for physical well-being but also for the enrichment of our spiritual lives.
Through this cultural exchange, I've learned how nature can support us in ways that extend beyond the tangible, fostering a deep and meaningful connection to the spiritual essence of our existence.
in May 2023 i went to Taos, New Mexico, where I resided in the world's largest off-grid community, the Greater World. Engaging in the Earthship Academy, I acquired profound insights into the intricate systems that underpin sustainable living. This experience strengthened my commitment to sharing knowledge and empowering others to align their habitats with nature.
Join me on this journey of sustainability, where a shared love for the environment, a background in psychology, and a wealth of diverse experiences converge to shape a holistic and impactful approach to sustainable living. Together, let's create spaces that enhance psychological well-being and harmonize with the natural world.
